We had our holiday to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday cancelled, so we chose a staycation instead. We discovered this hidden gem and I was genuinely sad to leave. The location was beautiful, with stunning views of the countryside where we spotted deer, hare, and partridge. The lodge was well-appointed, with top-notch furnishings and cozy beds. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The nearby walks and the village of Scorton were a lovely bonus. The lodge was impeccably clean and tidy, and the welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch.
Would recommend this hotel.

The lodge had a stunning view and was situated in a peaceful location with lots of local walks. The furnishings were top class, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. We were delighted to find a welcoming touch with milk, orange juice, and a bottle of wine provided. Despite the lack of WiFi and a DVD player, the lodge was exceptionally clean and well-appointed. The small bath towels were the only minor drawback. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

I absolutely adored the charming decor of the lodge, especially the cozy lounge area with its plush armchairs and beautiful artwork. It felt like a home away from home. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people like myself. The gentle slopes and well-lit pathways made it convenient to move around without any difficulty.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the children working there in terms of organizing activities suitable for seniors. A guided tour or suggestions for local attractions specifically catered to our needs would have made our vacation even more enjoyable.

The value for our money at the lodge was exceptional, and the room itself was top-notch with all the necessary amenities. The location was stunning, overlooking the beautiful countryside where we even spotted deer and other wildlife. The staff treated us with utmost hospitality, and the welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch.
The breakfast could have been improved with a better selection of options.

The view from the lodge was breathtaking, with stunning countryside surrounding us. We were lucky enough to spot some wildlife like deer and partridge, which added to the charm of the location. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with top-class furnishings that made us feel right at home. The owners even provided a lovely welcome touch with milk, orange juice, and a bottle of wine waiting for us.
There was no Wi-Fi available at the lodge, which made it a bit difficult for us to stay connected during our stay. the bath towels provided were on the smaller side, which was a bit disappointing.
